You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands.     Visit Cama Beach and Camano Island State Parks for a digital treasure hunt!

    Designed similar to existing geocaching activities, Adventure Labs will guide you through the parks as you solve questions using physical features within the landscape.

  2. Cama Beach Nature Backpack program

    Looking for a fun, educational activity for the entire family?

    There are now Nature Backpacks available for check-out at Cama Beach State Park! Each backpack includes educational materials and a set of kid-friendly tools to help young explorers learn about nature. Inside, you’ll find binoculars, observation tools, colored pencils, a field journal, books, activities and more.

    Visit us at the Cama Beach Welcome Center to request a Nature Backpack. You can borrow a backpack for either 48 hours or one week.

  4. Who eats with their feet?

    Join a Cama Beach Foundation volunteer naturalist to learn about marine critters who gather food using their feet. During this activity we set up a microscope so you can see plankton, the base of our marine food web.

  5. Quilts on the beach

    Join us for our 12th annual quilt show and sale!

    See Cama Beach transformed into a gorgeous display of color and artistry! Our very own volunteer group, Cama Beach Quilters, have created beautiful, hand-crafted quilts that will be exhibited throughout the beach and cabin area.

    While you're here, enjoy the festive live music provided by the local band Rubatano Marimba.

    If you get hungry, head up to the Cama Beach Cafe for a delicious meal, or grab some BBQ from the Pure Smoke NW trailer on the beach.

    Prefer something sweet? Visit the Cama Beach Cafe tent on the beach for pastries and beverages.

    New and gently used hand-crafted quilts will be available for sale, as well as tote bags, wall hangings, and other quilted gifts.

    Parking may be limited, so we encourage carpooling or public transportation whenever possible. Island Transit (360-387-7433) offers service to Cama Beach State Park on request.
