Waikiki Beach Concert Series - Shifty Sailors

The Shifty Sailors hail from Whidbey Island. Their music celebrates the maritime history of the Pacific Northwest. The Sailors have worked to preserve the heritage of sailing ships, folklore, and songs of the sea for over 28 years.

Salish Sea Day

Cama Beach Summer Music & Dance Series - Podorythmie

The Washington State Parks Folk and Traditional Arts Program invites the public to the Summer Music and Dance Series at Cama Beach Historical State Park. The series brings music and dance to the park once a month in June, July and August. Live music and family square dances were a traditional part of 1930s summer activities at Cama Beach when the state park was a fishing resort. Performances and dances feature fiddle, guitar, bass, and banjo and experienced callers who aim to get everyone on their feet and dancing. Whether you’re staying at a cabin on the beach, or just visiting for the day, stick around and join in these fun, family friendly activities!

Gangspil - Workshop & Performance

Sonnich Lydom and Kristian Bugge will guarantee you an entertaining and variated journey through the traditions of Danish folk music. This lively group performs old dance tunes and long forgotten songs from every corner of their Scandinavian home country. From rural islands like Læsø to the metropol Copenhagen, including a few of their own compositions. Expect everything from wild polkas and jigs to lyrical waltzes, fiery reels and happy hopsas, plus the exotic “Sønderhoning” dance tunes from the famous Island of Fanø. An unforgettable live experience spiced up with humor and stories from their many years on the road. Gangspil have toured intensively and played more than 120 shows in North America since 2015! - as well as a good number in other parts of the world. The group has become a well-known name in trad- and folk circles both home in Scandinavia and abroad. In 2016 they received the "Tradition Award" at the Danish Music Awards (Danish Grammy!)

Waikiki Beach Concert Series - Podorythmie

Podorythmie, Quebecois for “foot rhythms,” is a four-member group hailing from France and the US. They're known for their high energy and good-time performances of Quebecois music and stepdancing. Fiddle and accordion songs and lots of hard shoe stepdancing interspersed with crankie shows combine to make a unique performance full of surprises.

WDFW Community Bear Awareness Program

BEAR AWARENESS Reducing conflict between bears and humans. WDFW Bear Talk Lake Wenatchee State Park WEDNESDAY JUNE 14TH 5-6PM South Park Amphitheater Children are encouraged to attend! Presented in collaboration between Plain Valley Adventure Women, Lake Wenatchee State Park Rangers and Washington State Fish and Wildlife Karelian Bear Dog Program. This educational talk is directed toward the Plain, Lake Wenatchee, and White River communities. Greater knowledge and understanding about the wildlife we live together with can help reduce conflict and potentially save the lives of both humans and animals. A Discover Pass will be required for parking within the State Park. Discover Passes or daily permits can be purchased at the parking lot. Dress Appropriately for weather, bug spray is encouraged.

Dark Sky Program- with Park Ranger Paul

Bring a blanket and lay out under the stars at 10:00pm on the Lake Wenatchee South Park Beach. Park Ranger Paul will explore the night sky with the group and show how to spot constellations. Mural Dedication at the Spokane House Interpretive Center

Washington State Parks, along with members of the Spokane Tribe of Indians and the Friends of Spokane House, is hosting a formal dedication of the new murals on the Spokane House Interpretive Center next Saturday, June 10, at 1pm. This event is free and open to the public. The site is at 13501 N. Nine Mile Falls Road (Hwy 291) in Nine Mile Falls, just north of the Nine Mile Falls dam. This event is occurring simultaneously as the Friends of Spokane House's annual Fur Trade Encampment that will be both Saturday and Sunday, and again, are free.
