OLYMPIA – July 10, 2015 – The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission announces the Junior Ranger Program of events for this summer at Lake Sammamish State Park through Aug. 30.
Programs take place each weekend throughout the summer from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays and from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Sundays at the new Sunset Beach Bathhouse at Lake Sammamish State Park, 2000 N.W. Sammamish Road, Issaquah. (Directions: https://goo.gl/maps/XSFsf)
The programs are designed for children of all ages and will vary from weekend to weekend. All programs will feature hands-on nature topics and crafts such as creating bird masks, bat ears, bug goggles, kites, paper tree-vests and recycled bottle bird feeders. Kids will also have the opportunity to decorate their bikes and parade around the trails with park rangers on posted dates.
