Boat launch closure

The Fort Worden boat launch will be closed October 2021 - July 15 2022. Sand removal is not allowed until July 15th.

RV dump station closed for season

The dump station is closed until next spring. This closure is a couple weeks early this year due to facility damage.

Upper Forest Campground Bathroom Construction

The restroom and showers in the Upper Forest Campground are under construction. Portable toilets will be available. The nearest flushing restrooms and showers will be at the Lower Beach campground and day use area.

Rothschild House Museum closed

Rothschild House at Fort Worden Historical State Park in Port Townsend will remain closed until later this summer or fall. Enjoy the gardens around the house and take in the view with a picnic. Or take a virtual tour here: https://loom.ly/8zRhKSk

Winter Water Supply

Due to possible freezing temperatures, the water in both campgrounds will be turned off from November through March 15th. Exact dates are dependent upon the weather. A potable water supply is located near the entrance to the campground.

Fort Worden floating dock closed

Emergency Closure: The floating dock at the Fort Worden pier is out of service until further notice due to recent storm damage. Until necessary repairs are made, incoming vessels will be unable to access this location/facility.
